  ever dream of having spikes on your back? i never did. somehow i ended up with a jacket with a ton of spikes on the back. as a 'designer', id say that i spend little time on planning my designs. before making this jacket all i knew that i wanted to do is make a jacket. i had no idea how it would turn out. sometimes i wish that i could design the conventional way, sketching out the plan for the jacket first. that just doesnt happen for me. the best work i have done is from making the wrong cut, or stitching the wrong line, or studding something i didnt mean to. i really didnt know i would end up with a spike studded, safety pinned, slashed and application cut jacket when i started this. i present to you the womens silver death pin jacket, an evolution of accidents and winging it.
  
  when we started dust and beau i got really excited about the idea of just making whatever the efff we wanted to make. the 'creative process' is totally different when you dont worry about how much something costs, or worry about how much time you have spent making it. if i paid attention to either of those details i definitely wouldnt have put this many safety pins or studs or casted spikes and claws on this jacket. what i do pay attention to are all the details that make me happy, that you will probably never notice. or maybe you will? if so that will make us really happy.
